UCLA Pulled Off An Incredible Comeback Down Nine Points With A Minute Left
UCLA Basketball

The UCLA Bruins basketball defeated the Oregon Ducks 87-84 in overtime on Thursday night. Now while that result doesn't seem like much of a stretch, considering how the end of regulation played out, it's incredible to think the Bruins won. UCLA was down by nine points with just 51 seconds left and managed to pull off the comeback.

After the Ducks went up 74-65, the Bruins went on a 15-6 run. The scoring spree was capped off by an intentional missed free throw. The Bruins were down by two and Jaylen Hands' free throw wouldn't have been enough for the win. So instead, he missed it on purpose and the rebound was corralled by Chris Smith who scored to force OT.

The Bruins then went on to win the game, outscoring the Ducks 7-4 in overtime. According to ESPN, "It's the largest deficit overcome in the final minute of a Pac-12 game, and ties the sixth-largest deficit overcome in the final minute in Div. I history."

UCLA is currently 10-6 on the season and play their next game against Oregon State on Sunday.
